The annual Warner Research Days offer students and faculty a new platform to showcase and celebrate their research. Warner Research Days is a multi-day event that consists of research symposiums, poster sessions, flash talk presentations, and networking, showcasing both student and faculty research.

A faculty symposium followed by a networking reception and poster session.

Student Research Showcase

SATURDAY, MARCH 21  |  10 a.m. - 1 p.m.  |  2nd Floor LeChase Hall

Poster sessions and flash research presentations, followed by a reception and awards ceremony.

Presenter Resources

We are pleased to provide you with poster printing instructions and a series of workshops to help you to prepare to present your research at Warner Research Days.

The are available for printing of student posters.

  1. You will need to email a PDF file of your presentation to cmps@ur.rochester.edu for your poster to be printed. Include the information below in your email:
  • Indicate whether you would like your poster to be printed on matte or glossy poster paper.
     
  • Communicate that the poster should be printed in "wide format."
     
  • Ensure you state in the email that you would like to preview the poster before it is printed. When you preview your poster, make sure the contents of your poster fit and are appropriately formatted. Once you submit for printing, you will not have the opportunity to make changes.
     
  • You will be provided an account number in the email you received congratulating you on being accepted to present. Include the account number in your email to CMPS. If you need this account number, please contact the Dean鈥檚 Office (deansoffice@warner.rochester.edu).
     
  • Attach the .pdf version of your poster to the email.
     
  • There are two locations where you can pick up your poster 鈥 you must include the location where you will pick up in the email:
    • 1510 Mt. Hope Ave. You can reach them at (585) 275-5208 (open from 7 a.m. - 4:30 p.m., Monday 鈥 Friday)
    • Campus Mail Center, located within the Todd Union Building on the River Campus (open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday 鈥 Friday)
  1. Email Brandon Inguaggiato, the Warner Accountant, to confirm the print order you purchased (鈥淗i Brandon, I want to confirm that I just submitted an order for a poster to be presented at Warner Research Days. Thank you, NAME鈥). Email Brandon at: binguaggiato@warner.rochester.edu.

At the latest, poster orders must be made the week before the start of the Warner Research Days (March 10, 2026). After this, we will not be able to get your posters made, and you will need to arrange printing elsewhere at your own expense. No Exceptions.

WORKSHOP I: Your Research Poster & YOU: Tips and Tricks for a Successful Research Poster Workshop

This is an online workshop that focuses on creating and presenting research posters for the upcoming Warner Research Days and other conferences. The session will provide helpful tips and resources for creating research posters and engaging in thoughtful conversations with audiences about your poster. Facilitated by Nestor Tulagan, assistant professor of counseling & human development, the workshop aims to teach useful, easy-to-learn technical skills for designing a poster and to empower students to present their exciting research to audiences with varying expertise. Please use the following login information to access the meeting.

WORKSHOP II: Tips for Creating an Amazing Flash Presentation

WORKSHOP III: Making the Most of an Academic Conference

WORKSHOP IV: Research Days Practice Session
Tuesday, March 17, 2025
4 to 5 p.m. 
LeChase Hall 239

Gather with other presenters for an informal and supportive opportunity to practice talking about your poster or to present your flash talk before the real thing. This will be an in-person session. Associate Dean for Research Sami Daley will be there to coordinate, answer questions, and help you feel confident heading into the event.


 

2026 Research Awards

Awards will be announced during the March 21 awards ceremony at Warner Research Days.
